"Mommy took me to see the doctor today about my foot. At this point, the doc put me on a ton of pills and lotions to get the swelling down and to get me to stop wanting to chew. So, I'm sure I will put up a fight about taking so many pills each day but I'll be so much better for it. I hope Mommy and Daddy can put up with me through this challenging time.
"One good outcome from the appointment is finding out how much weight I've lost. In September, the docs said I needed to shed about 25 pounds. I was 113 pounds back then, this morning I weighed in at 97 pounds. So the walks and the new food Mommy buys for me are doing the trick." - Jessi
"I didn't quite like it when Mommy took Jessi out the door and didn't come back for a while. I just didn't understand but I was so happy to see them when they came home. I don't know what I would do with out my best friend Jessi-girl! Get well soon!!" - Jake

Going to the Doggie Doctor
Well, I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. I've gotten myself in a little bit of a quandry by chewing on my front elbow. I've done the chewing for most of my life and two vets have said that it wasn't a big deal but that it was just a nervous habit like when humans bite their nails or twirl their hair. But it's gotten really out of hand and now I'm afraid to even walk with that leg. Mommy and Daddy have tried to wrap it so that the wounds would heal but their afraid I will bite their heads off so that doesn't work. Mommy's tried to give me raw-hide chewy things and that's only temporary or they get stolen from my little brother Jake. Mommy's also tried to cheer me up by giving me a nice walk, just her and me, each day. And to their dissapointment, that hasn't worked either. So, now I get to go to the vet. It's the same vet I went to in September and was the second vet to look at my leg without alarm. So, we'll see what she thinks about my work tomorrow.
Keep us in your thoughts tomorrow. I will keep you posted!
Just a few pictures of my wound....YUCK!!!! OUCH!!!!

We're Famous!
Back in 2001, Daddy and Mommy could watch our activities from work with their Doggie Cam. Unfortunately, they don't have this set up in our new house so you can't see us right now but hopefully they will get a new system soon. We'll let you know when that happens.Check out the "We're Famous" link over on our favorite links section for the article that made us famous (at least it gave us our 10 seconds of fame that every pooch desires).Woof!
